PayX ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome browser extension ("PayX Extension" or "Extension") collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

The PayX Extension collects minimal data necessary to provide its functionality:
Data Stored Locally (on your device only):
- Wallet Address: Your connected wallet's public address (stored locally in Chrome storage)
- Tip Statistics: Number of tips sent and total amount tipped (stored locally)
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect personal identification information
- We do NOT collect browsing history
- We do NOT collect Twitter/X account information
- We do NOT track your activity across websites
- We do NOT send any data to external servers (except blockchain transactions)
How We Use Information
The locally stored information is used solely to:
- Display your connected wallet address in the extension popup
- Show your tipping statistics
- Maintain your wallet connection state between browser sessions
Blockchain Transactions
When you send a tip, the following data is transmitted to the Arc Network blockchain:
- Your wallet address (sender)
- The recipient's Twitter/X handle (for tip identification)
- The tip amount
- Any message you include with the tip
Note: Blockchain transactions are public and permanent. This is inherent to blockchain technology and not specific to our extension.
Third-Party Services
The Extension interacts with:
- MetaMask: For wallet connection and transaction signing (governed by MetaMask's privacy policy)
- Arc Network: For processing blockchain transactions (governed by Arc Network's privacy policy)
- X/Twitter: The Extension adds UI elements to X.com pages (governed by X's privacy policy)
Data Security
All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's secure storage API. We do not have access to your data. Your private keys never leave your MetaMask wallet.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete all locally stored data by:
- Clicking "Disconnect" in the extension popup
- Uninstalling the extension
- Clearing Chrome's extension storage
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.

Permissions Explained

- scripting: To inject tip buttons into X.com pages
- Host permissions (x.com, twitter.com): To add tipping functionality to these sites
